Measurement of the Braille dot height in Packaging

With the time to implementation of Braille on existing packaging fast approaching and exacting standards being set by the regulatory authorities it is becoming more important to not only check that Braille dots exist but that they conform to the requirements for height and size. With the ImageCompare software from Ladegast it is possible to scan and inspect the Braille impressions on a printed carton, comparing it to the Braille dots on an artwork PDF or simply to display the standard text for visual confirmation. Now it is also possible to check the height against the approved specification using a new scanner which can produce a three dimensional image of the dot structures and compare it to the standard required.

2012 New office

DVS moved into a new office building at the start of 2012, beginning the next phase in the development of the company.
